Our inspiration

The end result of education is character is the ethos underpinning Regent Global education. This ethos has been shaped by Dr. Selva Pankaj’s executive education, especially his studies at Harvard Business School and Stanford University, California.

Selva had the great fortune to be a student of the late Professor Clayton Christensen at Harvard Business School in 2015. This changed Selva’s life completely; he began his quest to understand the meaning of natural laws, compared to manmade laws. The ideas in Regent’s transformational programmes shared on Public Learn, some of them influenced by Professor Clay Christensen at Harvard and Stanford Online, can teach you how to design the outcomes that you want to execute your dreams and create the future that you desire.

Outside-in and inside-out education

Selva believes that education is not simply about outside-in education, in other words acquiring knowledge. Growing as a person, developing the character, attitude and mindset that you need to succeed in life – or inside-out education – is just as important.

Our world is changing rapidly. People need to be able to make the most of their unique human potential – Natural Intelligence™ – in the face of technological advancements including Artificial Intelligence.  Inside-out education is key to that.

The inside-out education courses available through Public Learn include Thinking into Character, The Mindset, the Power of Learning from DAD and Think and Grow Rich. The ideas in these courses transformed the lives of many Americans from the 1930s to the 1970s and after the Great Depression in particular. Today, the leaders of the fastest growing companies in Silicon Valley, California follow these principles. These courses show what we can achieve when we tap into our natural intelligence and cultivate the right mindset.

Democratising education

Selva and Tharshiny Pankaj want to democratise learning. By signposting users to free outside-in education courses from some of the world’s leading universities and institutions, they hope to help people to broaden their knowledge. By giving Sri Lankans access to several courses that offer inside-out education they want to help people to learn and become better tomorrow than they are today. Public Learn is a source of infinite goodness, for free.
